Job Description

Join the team behind our brand-new game as a Senior Unity Developer. Working closely with a small team of developers, you will help shape technical approaches and lead initiatives across core systems, architecture, tools, and development pipelines. Your work will help build a scalable and maintainable technical foundation for the game.

You combine deep technical expertise with strong judgment, making decisions that balance immediate development needs with the long-term health of the project. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and turning broad goals into clear technical plans.

You are proactive, take responsibility for outcomes, and bring people together around a shared approach. You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and help other engineers grow through practical guidance and collaboration.

Your role within the Kingdom

You will take ownership of complex technical initiatives that span multiple systems and areas of the game. You will clarify requirements, define approaches, coordinate contributions, and drive delivery, remaining actively involved in architecture and implementation. You approach development with a service-oriented mindset, ensuring that the systems and tools you build enable others and support a stable and scalable product.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to understand their needs and identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, tooling, and pipelines. You will provide technical guidance across the codebase and help resolve challenging problems, moving comfortably between high-level design and implementation details.

You will strengthen the engineering team by mentoring engineers, sharing knowledge, and helping establish practical standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability. You will support others in taking ownership and making sound technical decisions, while driving improvements in how we build and operate our technology.

Skills to create thrills

• Extensive software development experience
• Strong experience with Unity and C#
• Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to quickly adapt to new codebases
• Experience working with complex codebases and scalable systems
• Experience creating and supporting tools and pipelines for game development
• Experience with mobile development and platform best practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, including designers and engineers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive mindset and the ability to drive initiatives independently
• A desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve
• A passion for games

Bonus skills

• Experience extending the Unity Editor
• Experience optimizing runtime performance, especially on mobile
• Experience with procedural world generation
• Versatility across multiple areas of game development, such as game design, rendering, world building, feature development, and tools
• Experience with full-stack development
