We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to join an outstanding team. You’ll be part of the Catalog games studio, which leads a portfolio of 9 games. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for designing features that delight our players and use best practices to improve Catalog’s products and processes.

Your role within our Kingdom

  • Own the design process end to end and look for ways to improve it.

  • Participate in improving the development processes in Catalog Games.

  • Act as a resource for game design, and be able to support and mentor other colleagues.

  • Harness the creativity of the entire team to craft new features and obtain learnings.

  • Deliver first - class design documentation and push the boundaries of documentation standards.

  • Make sure new features meet the studio vision and goals, and integrate effectively with the existing game systems.

  • Communicate with other teams at King to share knowledge and look for opportunities.

  • Actively research the market and share updates and insights with all the team.

Skills to build thrills

  • Ability to design features for Core, Meta and Social layers.

  • Deep understanding of fundamental game design principles, UX design and player psychology.

  • Deep understanding of free-to-play design and market.

  • Good understanding of monetization and game economy principles.

  • Ability to create mock-ups/flows/prototypes to showcase new concepts & ideas.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of different ideation methodologies.

  • Broad experience working cross functionally with other crafts and teams, and different development processes.

Other experience that might be effective, but is not required, includes:

  • Experience working in casual puzzle titles.

  • Experience with game balancing.
