Senior Game Designer (Founding Role) Kickabout

We are building a new category in gaming: mixed-reality football, where players can play digital football games and full match football experiences at home using a real ball.

Our patented hardware replaces pressing buttons with real ball striking and body movement, turning physical play directly into live gameplay.

We are now looking for a Senior Game Designer to help shape, define, and own how this experience feels to play.

This is a hands on, early stage role where you will take real football actions, such as ball striking, body movement, and reactions, and turn them into simple, competitive, and highly replayable gameplay. You will shape the core experience from the ground up, working directly with the founder and using real-world playtesting to refine and improve the product.

Kickabout has been in development for several years, with multiple generations of working prototypes and extensive playtesting already completed. Following strong feedback from our focus groups, we have recently secured over £1 million in funding and are now building the team to bring the product to market.
