We are looking for a LiveOps Engineer capable of developing and maintaining tools and technologies to manage live game environments and players. If you are an experienced tools engineer, who’s excited about games, and excited about working in a creative environment with new technologies and innovating to solve problems, this could be the perfect role for you.
This opportunity is for a full-time position in Chicago, IL or Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of tools that support the deployment, monitoring, and manipulation of both game and player accounts updates
- Facilitating player inspection including progress, purchases, and play history
- Reviewing and proposing improvements to the automation of processes and daily routines
- Monitor deployments for live product support and evaluation
- Interaction with game teams and platform team on various tasks that affect player data and the stability of the live game. You will get game-specific support from game teams, and platform and tools API support from the online platform team.
Qualifications: (If you possess many or most of these qualities, you’re probably a great fit!)
- Experience programming and scripting in Python and/or Javascript
- Experience using REST APIs to collect, transform, and present data
- Experience writing tools to manage and manipulate user data
- Solid shell scripting experience (sh/bash).
- Knowledge and ability to use basic Linux commands
