Job Specification

  • Recruit and retain students for the Esports program
  • Initiate and run weekly practice sessions, and team building activities
  • Coordinate ‘free play’ use of the Esports arena
  • Provide guidance and input on games selected for competition
  • Offer regular feedback on equipment upgrades, updates, and maintenance
  • Coordinate practice schedules, and competition schedules
  • Conduct promotional events to help market the program to potential students
  • Monitor and mentor the well-being of players
  • Review agreements, contract deadlines, rules, and compliance within any associated league and competitions
  • Managing clashes with other activities I a professional way
  • Drafting parental communications
  • Collaborate with the Faculty of Innovation

Person Specification

Essential

  • Competitive Esports experience involving team-based multiplayer online video games
  • Expert knowledge of Rocket League
  • Ability to work with a diverse community of students, faculty, administrators and professional colleagues
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity
  • Strong relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • Coaching or teaching experience
  • Experience recruiting secondary school level students
  • Expert knowledge of some combination of League of Legends, Overwatch or Valorant
