Job Description
As Legal Technician – Data Protection & Privacy based in our Studio in Montréal (Quebec) you will be a member of the Data Protection team. You will also interact with the Legal Teams (IP, consumers and contracts), the IT Security Teams as well as many other stakeholders worldwide.
Your role will involve supporting operating teams across Gameloft as follows:
Participating in the roll-out of the global data protection strategy, which requires strong experience of opt-in logic regulations such as GDPR and ePrivacy.
Review DPAs, SCCs and all type of data privacy documents in partnership with the Legal and IT Security teams.
Train operational teams on the applicable data privacy frameworks and related negotiation strategies.
Review new projects or changes into existing projects.
Propose solutions and recommendations to improve the data privacy compliance.
Follow and control the recommendations’ implementation.
Maintain the dedicated ROPAs up to date.
Be a contributor to our Data Protection team’s efforts in preparation and implementation of our processes, policies, templates, and practices, and related training.
Salary Range: 70 000 CAD -90 000CAD
Qualifications
Master degree on Law or LLM (Data Protection/ New Technologies / Digital) is required.
4-6 years of experience in data protection & privacy, working in close collaboration with the operative teams is a prerequisite.
Deep expertise in the main European legislation (GDPR, ePrivacy, DSA).
Experienced in Canadian and US data protection & privacy laws.
Fluent in French and English, written and oral
Able to understand and mitigate risks in new technologies and in a digital industry;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work effectively and accurately in short deadlines;
Autonomous and organized, you are a team player;
Be able to adapt ;
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required, conflict resolution skills a plus
