Job Description

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate intermediate game designer who will play a key role alongside the lead game designer to define and evolve the future direction of Disney Dreamlight Valley. As an intermediate game designer, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the design and improvement of the game's features. Your role will consist of providing innovative ideas and participating in the creation of a captivating world, all while guiding and supporting team members in the fulfillment of their duties. We're looking for someone with intermediate experience, who is ready to take up stimulating challenges as part of our dynamic team.

Main Tasks

  • Generating new ideas to create or improve features

  • Keeping the player at the heart of your design process

  • Writing documents to support feature creation

  • Carrying out follow-ups on the progress of those features

  • Maintaining constant communication and following up with the various departments

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years' professional experience in game design

  • Excellent knowledge of the game market

  • At least one title published on console/PC while in a game design role

  • Diploma of College Studies in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Video Games or equivalent

  • English-French bilingualism is an asset

  • Considerable experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Atlassian)

Skills and Profile

  • Able to work in Agile mode, not afraid of failure, and able to bounce back quickly, if necessary

  • Able to make decisions in a complex environment

  • Open-minded and empathetic

  • Passion for video games and their history

  • Ability to present one's ideas (verbally and in writing)

  • Open-minded, with a love of teamwork

  • A big imagination!
