Gameloft Montreal is seeking a Data Scientist to join Gameloft's Global Data team. In this position, you will be supporting multiple global projects as well as Disney Dreamlight Valley, a brand cross-platform hybrid life-sim/adventure game.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

You will be able to deep dive into our massive in-game player data, and prototype and deploy machine learning models to drive game revenue.

What It Means on a Daily Basis

Mine large data sets at a fast-moving gaming company and turn them into understandable and actionable insights.
Perform extensive feature engineering from the vast data in our data warehouse.
Prototype different ML models that improve our baselines and create solutions for new use cases.
Help contribute to our internal tracking, prediction pipeline and monitoring solutions.
Improve experimental capabilities through good experimental design and the use of key statistical methods, including causal inference and A/B testing.

Who You Will Be Working With

As a Data Scientist in our Global Data team, you will be reporting to our Lead Data Scientist and collaborating very closely with other data scientists, data analysts and data engineers in the team.

Passionate about video games and the economy behind them

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Master's degree in a quantitative field (computer science, applied mathematics or data science) and strong IT skills
Proficiency in Python (esp. pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, seaborn, etc.)
Strong SQL skills
Experience with Git, machine learning algorithms and data science workflow, including experimental design and key statistical methods, with strong communication skills for complex topics
Fluency in English (written and spoken), as the role involves frequent English interactions as well as the handling of documentation intended for partners based in other Gameloft studios internationally
