Job Description
Main tasks and responsibilities
Join our talented team as we embark on an uncharted gaming adventure! We're on the lookout for a passionate Senior technical artist to contribute their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons® PC/Console project. This innovative game will blend the features of Action-RPG / Survival with unique elements of life-simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.=
Role Description :
Stay up to date with the latest tools and techniques being used in the video game industry, and identify which ones can be applied to each project.
Develop and maintain an optimized technical art pipeline
Work closely with the animation team to design and implement complex character rigs, ensuring they are efficient and versatile for animation.
Collaborate with the VFX team to implement visual effects, including environmental elements and particle systems.
Help the programming team to debug, profile and optimize game content for the target platforms.
Work closely with the art team to integrate art content in game engines and create tools to facilitate the process
Create tools to improve the artists' workflow, while keeping user experience in mind.
Support the artists by documenting tools, creating guidelines and developing best practices.
Mentor Intermediate and Junior Tech Artists.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Skills
Good understanding of workflows related to each of the major art disciplines: lighting, rendering, shaders, post-processing, particle systems, animation, UI, and more
Deep understanding of tools and workflows for cross-platform productions
Strong skills in character rigging and skinning with an emphasis on creating flexible, efficient rigs
Skilled in creating and optimizing visual effects, with a strong understanding of particle systems, shaders, and simulations for weather and other game effects.
Knowledge of scripting languages
Knowledge of profiling tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and processes
Effective time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Educated on the latest trends, coupled with a strong perspective on how they relate to our current and future projects
