Role Overview  

The Partnerships Development Director is responsible for driving commercial revenue across MEGA’s owned IP and Agency offerings, with a focus on The Esports Awards proposition. This is a US based, senior, hands-on role focused on securing partnerships, sponsorships, and commercial deals while building strong, long-term relationships with brands, publishers, and partners. 

Working closely with the VP of Growth, the Partnerships Development Director translates commercial strategy into execution, leading deal conversations, managing pipelines, and collaborating with IP, Production, and Agency leadership to ensure partnerships are strategically aligned and creatively compelling. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead US commercial sales efforts across MEGA-owned IPs and Agency opportunities, with a focus on The Esports Awards offering 
  • Own and manage a pipeline of sponsors, partners, publishers, and brands 
  • Secure sponsorships, partnerships, and commercial deals aligned with MEGA’s strategy 
  • Work closely with the VP of Growth to execute sales strategy and revenue targets 
  • Support pitch development, presentations, and proposal creation for partners and sponsors 
  • Assist with commercial negotiations and deal structures 
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders 
  • Lead relationships with US based third party sales agencies 
  • Provide regular pipeline reporting, forecasting, and insights to VP of Growth 

Commercial & Strategic Focus 

The Partnerships Development Director is expected to: 

  • Drive revenue while protecting MEGA’s brand and creative integrity 
  • Sell partnerships and ideas, not just inventory 
  • Identify strategic partners that align with MEGA’s IP and long-term vision 
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure deals are deliverable and commercially sound 
  • Balance short-term revenue targets with long-term relationship building 

Core Capabilities & Attributes 

  • 8+ years of experience in sponsorship sales or partnerships 
  • Strong understanding of IP-led and agency-based revenue models 
  • Confident in leading senior commercial conversations 
  • Comfortable working closely with creative and production teams 
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills 
  • Commercially sharp with an eye for value creation 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable owning targets 
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority 
  • Proven history of meeting and overachieving sales targets
  • Proficient in use of Sales CRM tools
