PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
What We Do
Product Management partners with game development, publishing, marketing, and platform teams to provide a data and market-driven view of product strategy that aligns with business goals. As part of Epic’s Growth Team, we use our product expertise to identify and drive growth levers to grow our player base and business.
What You'll Do
We’re looking for someone with a passion for real-time rendering to join the industry-leading Unreal Engine team to focus on our rendering systems and workflows that power next-generation console & mobile games, and cinematic quality visuals. This means being hands-on in the development process of all aspects of the engine’s lighting & rendering pipeline available to programmers and artists to continue to build first class tools and workflow for game development. This includes but is not limited to, Lumen Global Illumination, Nanite virtualized geometry, material editing and performance optimizations for authoring interactive real-time experiences that scale across all platforms.
In this role, you will
Drive product initiatives with minimal direction/supervision
Engage with our internal Epic Games production teams and external users to understand their needs and requirements
Ensure our tools are best in class and meet our user expectations by regularly using, reviewing and critiquing new features and prototypes and validating them directly with our users
Partner with Engineering and UX teams to design workflows, and build valuable well thought out solutions
Apply principles, standards and best practices within the subject matter area to influence product deliverables and manage the product roadmap
Work with our marketing and sales teams to help them explain what problems we are solving and the value for our users
What we're looking for
5+ years of technical experience in the 3D rendering field (e.g. Technical Artist, developer or equivalent) working with exceptional engineering talent
Subject matter expertise in real-time 3D lighting & rendering workflows for games and the ability to teach those workflows to others
Someone that can be the voice of our users, and think in both near-term (tactics) and long-term (strategy)
Drive alignment with clever, thoughtful, and kind people as a team
Excellent communication, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable with change, managing complex tasks and adaptable to project scope
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).
Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$169,000—$248,000 USD
