ENVIRONMENT ART INTERN

What You'll Do

We are a new and growing team at Epic, aiming to build innovative new experiences and technology as part of our collaboration with Disney. We’re searching for a highly motivated and creative entry-level Environment Art Intern. Develop your artistic skills while contributing to our team's effort to build some of the best-looking environments and props for an upcoming game experience. You will work closely with other artists and game designers to develop a world any player will feel compelled to explore.

In this role, you will

  • Model and texture stylized environment and prop art assets

  • Optimize art assets for different platforms and performance needs

  • Implement art assets into Unreal Engine

  • Work closely with the Lead Artist and other team members to ensure style consistency and quality across all art assets

  • Work from provided concept art and reference material

What we're looking for

  • A motivated individual who is passionate about 3D Art and seeking to further develop their skills through hands-on experience in a collaborative and creative environment

  • Prior experience with hard surface and organic modeling and texturing in relevant software, 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance, etc

  • Prior experience with Unreal is a plus

  • Portfolio showcasing examples of props and environment art

  • Passion for gaming and desire to learn and grow

This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
