The Director of Editorial is responsible for the growth and scale of Enthusiast Gaming’s owned and operated web properties. The Director will play a critical role in adapting our web properties by growing individual site audiences and further connecting site operations to Enthusiast Gaming’s strategic growth initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establish vision and lead a team of EIC’s and contributors across multiple websites that curate content towards unique gaming audiences
Drive audience growth and monetization through content and ecommerce
Team cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and vendors on site-specific rebuilds & enhancements that align with Enthusiast’s content strategy
Integrate content collaboration strategies with Enthusiast’s existing web and video properties
Maintain P&L responsibility for the editorial business unit
Partner with Marketing and Sales for brand alignment, packaging, & go-to-market strategy
Additional duties may be assigned in conjunction with content goals

Requirements

5+ years of experience developing digital properties with a strong understanding of the gaming audience and evolving editorial landscape
3+ years experience managing mid-sized teams
Ability to develop a content strategy that curates audience and enhances monetization
Clear and concise presentation skills
Ability to utilize data to justify business cases, create buy-in, and make site-specific business decisions that lead to audience growth
Existing network of strategic relationships within the gaming or entertainment industry
