Summary

Reporting to Frostbite’s Director of Experience Design, you will create a comprehensive Frostbite learning experience for game creators across multiple game studios. You will lead the Documentation team and will partner with the Experience Design and Analytics teams to deliver engaging learning resources for game creators such as documentation, instructional videos, learning paths, and interactive tutorials. as our User Guide, video tutorials, and in-engine documentation. Your goal is to help game creators learn Frostbite, find easy-to-understand answers to their questions, and make the most of Frostbite’s latest technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define a compelling vision and plan for Frostbite’s learning experiences that will quickly onboard new game creators and help experienced creators use new tools

  • Build trusting relationships and support from senior leaders within Frostbite, the CTO organization and game team partners by presenting updates and results

  • Lead the Documentation team by setting clear goals, and providing coaching and career development support

  • Collaborate with Experience Design, Analytics, Technical Art, Communications and other internal partners to improve learning resources and increase awareness of our latest updates

  • Improve our documentation authoring, review and maintenance processes

  • Scale the creation of learning resources by encouraging game teams to contribute to Frostbite’s central documentation and using new technologies, such as AI

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical documentation, content strategy, learning design, education or similar fields

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams, including working with remote team members across multiple time zones

  • Practical experience developing documentation or learning strategies and creating multi-year plans

  • Practical experience leading multi-year documentation projects

  • Practical experience establishing new documentation lifecycle management processes

  • Practical experience with planning, creating, and delivering presentations to senior leaders

  • Practical experience with enterprise content management systems, learning management systems, and frameworks for tying documentation and code

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
