Role Overview

The Enterprise Finance – Strategy & Planning team aligns and drives EA's total company financial results with our strategy and goals. We play a critical role on the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team providing strategic planning, strategy, and alignment across executive leaders.

This is a visible position that plays a critical role leading the team responsible for long-term financial planning, supporting modeling around company strategy, key performance indicators, supporting M&A transactions, and driving financial discipline as we execute against our strategy. The Director, Enterprise FP&A - Strategy & Planning reports to the VP Tax and Enterprise - FP&A, and you will have one direct report. You will collaborate across global teams, including the Portfolio FP&A, Experiences FP&A, and Office of the CFO.

What You'll Do:

Portfolio Planning & Analysis

  • Lead EA's long-range planning process that is foundational to evolving and executing our company strategy. Evaluate long-term portfolio scenarios in relation to total company P&L goals. This involves close partnership across FP&A, Commercial, Corporate Strategy, Office of the CFO and EA's executive team.

  • Drive financial rigor and standards for investment business cases, product green lights, and maintain visibility to performance against commitments.

  • Partner with Portfolio, the Office of the CFO, and FP&A leadership to drive strategic modeling and decisions.

  • Ad-hoc analysis to support total company decision making as needed, including Mergers & Acquisitions analysis, or determining company targets.

  • Review key performance indicators and competitor information for comparability.

  • Support the Questions and Answers documents that are prepared for the quarterly earnings analyst and investor calls, including coordination across the Investor Relations, other FP&A teams, and Corporate communications teams

Financial & Strategic Business Partnership

  • Work with the Director, Enterprise Operations to ensure assumptions across long-range modeling and forecasting cycle are fully aligned.

  • Engage with the broader business FP&A and Office of the CFO teams throughout the long-term planning and forecasting process to understand business drivers and forecast assumptions by group – challenging assumptions, where necessary, and evaluating risks and opportunities.

  • Develop appropriate fiscal targets across the organization, in partnership with business and FP&A leadership.

  • Partner with the Financial Systems and Analytics team to define the systems roadmap related to the long-term planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required – Finance / Economics / Accounting related field; MBA and/or CPA a plus

  • Minimum 8-12 years in FP&A, as a business partner and consolidation roles.

  • Extensive experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.

  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise required

  • Experience with financial forecasting and reporting/dashboarding tools using Anaplan and Power BI.

  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge.

  • You are located on the West Coast near an EA Office

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):º $162,300 - $252,600 USD Annually

  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):º $162,300 - $230,150 USD Annually

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):º $134,250 - $202,100 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
