Associate Game Design Director

As a Game Design Director for EA India your job will be to use your leadership, passion and knowledge to inspire the team, provide and communicate vision, inspire creativity and create incredible experiences that surprise and delight millions of gamers around the world. You will be reporting to Producer I.
Responsibilities:
Advocate for the creative direction of games at Slingshot, inspiring the team through progressive creative design and leadership.
Oversee design vision and implementation, collaborating directly with designers, producers, programmers, artists, and other cross-functional members of game development teams.
Create visible widespread support for the creative direction, both internally and with leadership teams.
Stay updated on new trends driving player expectations and behaviors in the mobile game development landscape. Communicate strategic directions to enhance our games and brands.
Demonstrate sensitivity to mass-market appeal and create experiences within this context.
Collaborate with consumer insights to understand underlying motivations, and lead the opportunities.
Track and communicate progress and resolution of problems, setting guidelines for peers and external support groups.
Provide guidance and mentorship to peers and junior design staff, assisting them in resolving complex problems and encouraging career growth.
Represent the games in internal and external communications, including delivering presentations and pitches, conducting internal reviews with partners, and handling media interviews.
Recommended Experience:
Passion and experience in building and delivering exceptional mobile experiences for players across diverse demographics.
8+ years of overall experience in game design.
4+ years of experience leading game teams and defining game design, system design, UX design, and narrative design.
Passion and experience mentoring and guiding creators across disciplines, with a special emphasis on helping build careers of game designers.
Experience in designing, launching, monitoring, and evolving live services.
Broad and in-depth knowledge of all areas of game design. Additional expertise in tech, art, business.
Proven ability to inspire an organization regardless of reporting lines, advocating for the work and applying feedback to strengthen ideas.
Able to evangelize the studio's vision and projects within EA. Experience with public speaking.
Thrive in a collaborative, iterative, and agile process.
Breaking down complex problems into relevant pieces for other designers.
Proficient in conceptualizing, creating, and implementing game concepts using multiple tools and game engines.
Experience working with research departments to define tests and interpret data to iterate on the design.
Experience working with licencing partners.
Experience developing games that support User Generated Content.
