As an Associate Community Manager, you will support Action/Adventure titles, including Dragon Age. You will implement multi-channel community strategies designed to engage with our passionate players daily. The Associate Community Manager also plays a role as a liaison between EA’s teams and players, providing context to player feedback and contributing to outward-facing communication. Associate Community Managers have three or more years of experience in relevant fields. Reporting to the Lead Community Manager, you may work on-site at an Electronic Arts office or remote.
Responsibilities
Direct player engagement & community councils
You participate in the moderation of and accurate recording of Community Councils to deliver audience-relevant feedback to Studio, Brand, and Communications teams
You strengthen overall player engagement and sentiment for the franchise through direct interaction on popular community platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitch)
You are a public-facing spokesperson, communicating on behalf of the brand across multiple channels (Discord, Reddit, podcasts, videos) and at events
You develop a familiarity of core content creators and sub-community leaders to enhance promotional activations
You follow company/studio/franchise messaging strategy while being prepared to share and escalate messaging
Community messaging & content development
Follow global player engagement strategies that funnel into brand/developer strategy to build active, invested, and healthy communities for our games
Implement the player engagement tactics daily
Help produce informative/entertaining content ( blogs, podcasts, live streams, AMAs) to connect our community to our games, studios, and ecosystems
Uphold quality standards and brand communication best practices
Collaborate with internal and external partners
Connect with colleagues across Marketing, Communications, Development and Player Support teams to ensure succinct execution of tactics/campaign beats
Work enterprise-wide to provide strategic real-time feedback about the health of our games
Product expert with strategic community insights & data literacy… PLUS feedback & sentiment reporting
Immerse with the product to become a product expert that can provide context to internal team members and understand player needs.
Summarize and produce insights based on players behavior and knowledge of community; deliver data-informed insights to partners about the community including how to size and measure communities and sentiment.
Monitor & report sentiment using third-party listening tools such as Affogata, Sprout, and Synthesio.
Share relevant takeaways from social listening and team analysis to important partners so that a new plan of action can be implemented
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Player Engagement, Community Management, Social Media Management, or other related fields
Minimum of 3 years of experience with direct interactions with a player community
Minimum of 3 years of experience creating compelling communications, channel management, publishing calendars, reporting & analytics tools
Familiarity with Dragon Age, previous games, player motivations and needs
Experience building data-informed community insights
High-quality writing skills with global audiences in mind
Experience managing interactions and conflict management
Planning, organizational, and task/project management abilities
Familiar with collaborating in a global environment
Experience with social listening tools and Boolean search
Pluses
Advanced degrees in communication, marketing, or related field
Project management training, certifications, and experience
A passionate gamer with ample experience within multiple EA games and player communities
Experience with video, audio or graphic arts production
Experience with on-camera/public speaking
Approach goals with creativity

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $82,500 - $122,900 USD Annually
New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): º $76,000 - $122,900 USD Annually
Jersey City, NJ : º $99,000 - $122,900 USD Annually
Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): º $91,600 - $122,200 USD Annually
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): º $76,000 - $109,200 USD Annually
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $73,200 - $101,700 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
