The Challenge Ahead
As an Asset Loc Tech Specialist intern you’ll be part of the Asset Localization team that manages the worldwide translation needs of our products and services and works in close collaboration with other teams that are part of EA’s Localization organization.
You will be assisting our Sr. Tech Specialist in technical support tasks related to the existing translation management system (TMS) and other localization tools. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience related to the technical aspects of managing localization assets while working in an innovative and multicultural environment.
Responsibilities:
Work together with the Asset Localization Management team to create and refine projects in the existing TMS, focusing on technical aspects like word counting, file format configuration, and segmentation according to specific project needs.
Update existing project settings as needed to optimise processes and improve quality.
Support the maintenance of Translation Memories and Termbases.
Provide technical assistance to Localization and Marketing teams.
Conduct testing of new features and workflows, and prepare reports with conclusions and identified issues.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a student at a university or equivalent educational institution.
Eligible to work in Cologne, Germany without requiring visa or relocation assistance.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in localization-related studies with a technical focus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (working language).
Desired Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated and eager to learn and develop professionally.
Proficient in using Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
Basic understanding of Regular Expressions is a plus.
