Title: Event Operations Specialist SEA (REMOTE)

Contract: Fulltime

Region: SEA (Remote)

Blurb: Community Gaming is searching for a Event Operations Specialist to join the Southeast Asia team. This person will plan and manage tournaments hosted by Community Gaming Southeast Asia. They will ensure that tournament integrity is upheld and player relations are maintained. They have a wide spectrum of esports understanding and can easily adapt to new and upcoming games.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute , including tournaments, on-site events, to engage and build our gaming community community events
  • Develop, implement and adapt event concepts and strategies, including event formats, and themes to current industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and community management, to ensure that events are aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of events and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage event budgets and ensure that events are delivered within budget constraints
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and best practices to inform event planning and execution

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of blockchain and web3 terminologies
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in event planning and execution, preferably in the gaming industry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with players
  • Strong knowledge of the Southeast Asia gaming industry and community
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Creative mindset and ability to develop engaging event concepts and strategies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
  • Fluent in English and at least one Southeast Asian language, with the ability to understand and navigate cultural nuances
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming communities

Preferred/You might also have/ You earn bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in using work management platforms like Monday and Slack
  • Experience in tournament administration and community management
  • Interest and knowledge of esports events and the ecosystem around it
