We're building something new at Communications High School and we need the right educator to bring it to life.
Communications High School is an award-winning school and part of the Monmouth County Vocational Career Academies. This fall, we're launching an Interactive Media & Game Design CTE program in Wall Township, NJ.
This isn't about teaching from a fixed curriculum. We're evolving our traditional computer science program into something more creative, interdisciplinary, and aligned with where the industry is headed. We want someone with vision, someone who can weave together programming, UI/UX design, and game development into a hands-on, project-based learning experience that prepares students for the intersection of technology and creativity.
What makes this role unique:
- Design curriculum that bridges code, design, and interactive storytelling
- Integrate emerging tech: generative AI tools, virtual/extended reality, creative digital media
- Build partnerships with industry advisors and mentors
- Work at the sweet spot where programming meets creative problem-solving
Who we're looking for:
NJ certification (Interactive Media #4150 or Computer Science Technology #4148) or willingness to pursue alternate route for teacher certification.
Background in programming, UI/UX design, game development, or related fields
Vision for where creative technology education is headed
Passion for preparing students for high-demand careers in the creative tech industry
If you or someone in your network is ready to build a program that bridges code, design, and play β let's talk. Apply through our MCVSD frontline portal here!
