Job Description

As we are implementing a new financial reporting system: IBM Cognos Controller, we are looking for another person to join our skilled team of professionals who will execute this important project, as well as support the daily financial consolidation and reconciliation operations.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in ensuring the completion of financial reporting/analysis and possesses excellent analytical skills. This role offers the flexibility of both remote and in-house work options (Warsaw, Wrocław or Cracow studio), allowing you to work in a way that best suits your needs and preferences. Occasional business trips will be required upon request, in addition to the option of both remote and in-house work (from Cracow or Wroclaw).

Daily responsibilities

  • Executing the financial reporting system implementation (IBM Cognos Controller) and ensuring its alignment with the organization's business processes.

  • Preparing the consolidation package including reconciliation of intergroup transactions and a separate financial statement of the company.

  • Analyzing consolidation packages in order to verify their correctness.

  • Creating policy and supervising the correctness of application of the accounting principles in the Group.

  • Implementing solutions optimizing the reporting processes.

  • Cooperating closely with an internal Accounting and Controlling department.

  • Working with an external auditor on the effective execution of audit processes providing the necessary inputs, data, information.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance or accounting.

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role or same experience of auditing consolidated financial statements.

  • Experience in the implementation of consolidation systems.

  • Practical experience in improvement of reporting and consolidation systems.

  • Extensive knowledge of IAS/IFRS and Polish Accounting Act.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Curiosity and willingness to try out new ways.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Open-minded, interest in innovation and solving complex problems through the application of technical knowledge and tools.

  • Great communication skills and commitment to achieving results through collaboration.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of IBM Cognos Controller is preferred.

  • Auditing and/or Shared Services / Global Business Services (GBS) experience.

  • Professional qualification in accountancy e.g. ACCA (qualified or partly qualified).

  • 3 years of professional practice in a similar position in a company listed on the WSE.

Additional Information

Working mode

You can choose between a remote-first or office-first working mode.

  • Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw/Cracow/Wroclaw studio for a minimum of 10 days per month.

  • Remote-First: working from home, from any location in Poland.
