Bungie is actively seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a Business Operations Manager (BOM). This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the Bungie’s Publishing efforts. We are searching for an experienced project manager to guide and optimize the Office of the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer).

As a member of the OCMO, you will have the unique responsibility of guiding and optimizing the functioning of the team in support of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Senior Director of Marketing Strategy. The OCMO operates as a dynamic and agile group and plays a crucial role, providing essential support to the publishing team while also shepherding the long-term vision of our world-class publishing organization, driving a multi-IP portfolio including renowned titles like Destiny 2, Marathon, and more.

To excel in this position, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated and possess exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Your ability to empathize and understand the needs of both people and processes will be vital. A service-oriented mindset is paramount, as you will be responsible for orchestrating complex projects and critical initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the CMO and Senior Director of Publishing Operations in creating and maintaining a comprehensive, multi-year project roadmap for a large publishing organization supporting multiple franchises.

  • Drive and facilitate multi-year strategic publishing planning in alignment with all business units and central functions.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate the annual publishing planning and budgeting process, as an integral part of our studio's annual operating planning.

  • Identify key stakeholders for publishing initiatives and drive ongoing, rigorous status communications with stakeholders (and publishing leadership) through the year, tracking progress against annual goals and initiatives.

  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives and projects for the Publishing leadership team.

  • Work closely with Publishing producers to reconcile Office of the CMO goals with the capabilities and capacities of small teams, technological constraints, and overall team well-being.

  • Ensure clear alignment of leadership expectations with tangible deliverables and outcomes.

  • Manage the rhythm of the business calendar, in coordination with the studio-wide ROB calendar, for the Publishing organization.

  • Craft communications (email, presentations, etc.) for Publishing to the Publishing team and broader studio.

  • Represent the Publishing team to the broader studio, fostering a strong sense of unity and collaboration.

  • Own and facilitate ongoing rituals, communications, and processes for the Publishing Leadership Team, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.

  • Continuously improve the Publishing leadership team’s velocity, teamwork, and transparency.

  • Develop, refine, reinforce, and embody Bungie’s culture and values.

  • Actively challenge the status quo and facilitate change towards continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to shaping and fostering Business Operations excellence at Bungie, actively seeking ways to improve our processes and organizational efficiency.

  • Accountable to the CMO and Senior Director of Publishing Operations.

  • Report to the Director of Business Operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven project management skills, including building and maintaining work backlogs, tracking, scheduling, and driving projects to completion.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver executive presentations and communicate studio wide.

  • Ability to lead cooperative efforts among members across disciplines and projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in rapidly learning new methods and processes and adapting them to critical business needs.

  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to drive high-value meetings, navigate challenging discussions, and establish clear action items and accountability.

  • Proven ability to understand, simplify, and solve problems in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

  • Experience with agile/scrum development processes and tools.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, TFS, Asana, or similar.

  • Experience in the gaming industry.

  • Experience working with leadership teams.

  • Experience crafting communications for individuals at all levels, from the executive team to the entire company.

Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Bellevue Pay Range

$132,000—$158,000 USD

Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:

  • 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position

  • 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date

  • 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually

  • One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked

Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.
