You’ll find yourself working with a team of designers, programmers, and artists to help build, implement and tune classes, items, and features for Diablo 4.
The ideal candidate will have a love of game design, a strong skills for critical thinking and analysis, phenomenal communication skills, boundless creativity, knowledge of Diablo games, and a longstanding passion for playing video games as well as experience in the games industry.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this position is Albany, NY, Irvine, CA, or Austin, TX.
Strong sense of what makes a fun and compelling experience for classes and systems
Analytical skills for evaluating systems and interpreting player behavior
Experience developing or playing action RPG titles
Outstanding interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills
Passion for video games, especially Blizzard Entertainment titles
4+ years of video game industry experience as a designer
Strong technical background
Strong foundation in game balance
A familiarity with scripting languages and a strong foundation in math
Creative writing skills for wording of abilities, items, features, and tooltips
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
At least one shipped title

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
