As a Lead Designer on the Events team, you will create a vision that algins with the “big picture.” You understand the importance of different combat scenarios in a AAA title and will apply that logic to our ambitious project.

Location fixed:
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
What you bring to the table:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Create engaging conflicts in an open world capable of satisfying a wide range of gaming appetites.
Coordinate multiple E&E teams on project. Ensuring a clear vision and attainable design goals.
Jump in the trenches and lend a hand where needed. Mentor designers and encourage growth.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Experience leading and mentoring designers.
Experience maintaining and communicating your vision to a team on a AAA game.
Experience designing & building content in an open world game.
FPS experience
Solid familiarity with content authoring tools
Passion for the survival space
Impeccable communication skills and a clear leadership philosophy
Knowledge & Skills:
10+ years of game development experience in a AAA environment or combination of experience and education.
Minimum 1yr experience leading and mentoring designers.
Can understand different player personas and how to appeal to all explorers.
Engine implementation capabilities. Either proprietary or “out of the box” like Unreal or Unity.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $97,200.00 - $179,900.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
