As our in-house animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animations for gameplay and cinematics. You will oversee the full pipeline from rigging to animating to implementing animations in the game engine. You will collaborate with the art, design and code teams to find creative and technical solutions to create brilliantly animated games. You should have a passion for animation and the technology and techniques behind it and be excited to explore and discover new tool and skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement character animations that meet the given project brief
  • Compose and animate game cutscenes in-engine
  • Work closely with art, code and design teams to understand and solve problems
  • Develop and improve animation pipelines
  • Implement outsourced art assets when necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience animating video games in a professional environment
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating strong animation principles
  • Proficiency in Maya or other similar tools
  • Solid understanding of the Unity and/or Unreal Engine

Advantageous experience:

  • Knowledge of Motion Builder
  • Experience with 3D art creation (Prop modelling, characters, etc.)
  • Knowledge of motion capture tools and clean-up
  • Scripting in Mel/Python/C++, etc.
  • Experience with state machines
