BioWare is looking for a Senior VFX Artist (8 Month Contract) to join our team and create stunning visual effects that lead the industry. The Senior VFX Artist will report to the Lead VFX Artist
Responsibilities:
You will:
Author visual effects for environments, abilities, combat, and cinematics.
Research and provide creative input to inform and develop VFX solutions.
Work with our design, environment, and writing teams to support gameplay and story while upholding our established art style.
Work with our art leadership and your peers to support the game vision, provide/receive feedback, and improve by participating in regular team events such as reviews and scrums, with the goal of creating high-quality VFX.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of industry experience on games or related interactive work
Familiarity with real-time VFX using particle systems, sprites, and 3D meshes.
Good command of animation principles and timing.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D art packages for VFX creation (including experience creating optimized 3D models and textures), game engine workflows for VFX, and revision control systems. Photoshop and Maya. Houdini, FumeFX, or other dynamic simulation experience.
Proficiency with open-world gameplay constraints and using visual language to support rewarding player experiences.
Commitment to learning new technologies.

US Compensation and Benefits The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. BASE SALARY RANGES • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $113,300 - $171,700 • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): º $111,500 - $171,700 • Jersey City, NJ : º $126,700 - $171,700 • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): º $111,500 - $144,000 • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): º $111,500 - $157,300 Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
