Responsibilities

Your Daily Life at Bethesda Game Studios

As Senior Monetization Designer, you will:

  • Lead cross discipline strike teams (including design, art, engineering, analytics, platform, community) to create engaging new monetization features

  • Modify and maintain existing monetization and gameplay systems for a live game

  • Work closely with the monetization team to identify system needs and propose solutions

  • Support the monetization team in driving regular updates to the in-game Store

  • Coordinate with the art team on the creation and integration of game-ready assets for the Store

  • Work with the analytics team to review the success of current systems and initiatives and set goals for new ones

  • Assist in mentoring junior members of the monetization team with an eye towards growth

Qualifications

What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in monetization design with at least 1 shipped AAA title or multiple major updates to a AAA GaaS title

  • You possess an excellent knowledge of monetization and engagement systems for online games

  • You have strong mathematical, statistics, and analytical skills

  • You have a strong knowledge and understanding of game design fundamentals

  • You can work independently and as part of a team

  • You have excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize efforts

  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills

  • You can work in a fast-paced and confidential environment

  • You are passionate about making great games and improving the game for the player

  • You have creative problem-solving skills

  • You have a strong desire to continue to learn and grow

  • You are experienced in multiplayer game development

You may be asked to take a short design test.

Bonus Skills

  • You have familiarity with the Fallout franchise

  • You have experience with data visualization tools

  • You have additional experience in games with RPG, shooting, and building systems

  • You have experience providing feedback for development tools

  • You possess a drive to learn new toolsets and skills
