As Lead Live Programmer, you will…
Lead investigations into priority issues impacting the production environment with the Live Production team.
Manage gameplay related issues with escalations to the platform, BNET, and other external teams as required.
Depending on the severity and scope of the issue, resolve the issue directly with assistance from the development team or research/document the issues to then be sent to the appropriate team to resolve.
Engage with many stakeholders (Live, Customer Service, Community), effectively gathering information from these stakeholders, and constructing actionable next steps with the information provided.
Manage a team of approximately 2-3 live programmers and participate in annual reviews.
What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
You have a B.Sc. in Computer Science and/or Mathematics.
You have prior development experience in the games industry.
You are proficient with C++.
Management skills, including capacity to provide feedback to and help direct the live programmers.
Ability to successfully collaborate with and delegate to external contractors.
Comfortable being nimble in a changing environment.
Demonstrable focus on player-centric decision-making.
Expertise in game security.
You have development experience on game consoles (Xbox360/PS3/Xbox One/PS4).
You possess strong organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to communicate and work with non-engineers.
You work well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks.
You have a passion for making GREAT games.
You have experience playing Bethesda Game Studios games
Lead Live Programmer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $125,000 - $240,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
