SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNITY MANAGER

Reporting to Marketing Manager

Location: Homebased working (1 weekly meeting via Skype)

Reporting to our Marketing Manager this role offers the opportunity to join our video game lovers' team as a freelance employee. Our ideal candidate is an English/Spanish speaker with a close connection to the video games culture. The candidate should be experienced in the social media and community management of brands, with a preferred focus on videogames.

Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to contribute to the development of engaging content for social media. Crafting inspiring captions and responding to user comments and requests, the candidate should be creative and effective in communication with consumers.

The position will also involve coordinating with the inhouse team daily and feeding back on progress. A monthly report must be delivered, analyzing the effectiveness of content and improvement to predefined objectives and KPIs.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish
  • Madrid CET time residence preferred
  • Recent agency or freelance experience
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 3 months experience dealing with video games, esports, or any content related to digital entertainment
  • Experience working with small teams
  • Operationally highly effective as well as a strategic thinker

Key Responsibilities

Community Manager

You are required to act as the face and voice of the brand and manage all community communications. We are not looking for an influencer profile; we are looking for an active brand voice ready to engage with indie game lovers and with an eye on establishing relationships with the community's key members and synergies with other players of the digital entertainment market.

Content Publication

  • Approval process and publication on different platforms – Primary social network is Twitter
  • Active response and feedback with the community

Content Calendar creation

  • Caption writing
  • Social media calendar preparation based on marketing calendar.

Assets & Materials

  • Search for user driven content across platforms
  • Selection and proposal of assets

Reporting

  • Prepare and present Monthly social media results/report.

Coordination with the inhouse team:

  • Strategic support
  • Receiving and applying feedback
  • Hold regular status meetings
