Are you passionate about PC gaming? Do you have meticulous attention to detail and industry experience honing copy and messaging across a variety of materials? We’re looking for a multitalented managing editor to maintain a high standard of quality and effectiveness for a wide range of marketing assets.

As part of the global gaming team, the successful applicant will help create impactful marketing materials for gaming laptops and desktops from ASUS and ROG. They will collaborate with content creators, marketers, and technical teams to ensure consistency with internal guidelines and external requirements, and will work closely with writers to craft compelling copy and engaging stories that connect features and specifications to better gaming and user experiences.

Applicants should be capable of closely following direction and ensuring that core messaging is implemented in everything from taglines and short snippets to video scripts and long-form articles. They should also be able to create well-crafted concepts and copy of their own. A deep understanding of relevant PC technology is definitely an asset but not required. However, you do need enough familiarity with the subject to help translate technical knowledge from internal experts into clear, concise copy that connects with technical and mainstream audiences.

While this position is primarily focused on feedback and editing during the creation process, analytics are a key component of evaluating the effectiveness of those materials. The successful applicant will monitor traffic and user behavior to quantify the performance of different assets. They will also research new approaches and perform experiments to test their impact.

Applicants should be comfortable meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment and have at least five years of experience in relevant marketing or media roles. This position is eligible to work from home, but occasional travel may be required to our headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, and to our office in Fremont, CA.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Edit written copy for marketing materials, including taglines, product pages, video scripts, press releases, content articles, and product guides
  • Provide general feedback that elevates the overall quality of marketing assets
  • Occasionally write copy for marketing materials
  • Analyze asset performance and audience behavior
  • Research and test new approaches to message delivery

Required qualifications:

Experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related fields
  • At least five years’ relevant experience in tech marketing, media, or advertising
  • At least three years’ experience in an editorial role

Or

  • At least five years’ relevant experience in tech marketing, media, or advertising
  • At least five years’ experience in an editorial role

Knowledge and skills:

  • Impeccable writing and communication skills (in English)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Extensive proof-reading and editing experience
  • Enough understanding of PC gaming and hardware to translate technical messaging into accessible language with voices tailored for different audiences
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google productivity applications
  • Infectious passion for technology
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines on tight timelines

Working conditions:

  • Remotely from home with occasional travel to offices in Taipei, TW and Fremont, CA
