Job Summary:
The Sports Game Admin is responsible for maintaining the integrity and smooth execution of esports tournaments, ensuring fair competition in both free-to-enter and paid-to-enter formats. This role requires deep knowledge of the sports title genre, with a heavy initial emphasis on Madden, strong community engagement skills, and the ability to enforce rules while providing an exceptional player experience. The Game Admin will monitor tournaments, investigate reports of rule violations, and collaborate with other departments to optimize competitive play.
Key Responsibilities:
Tournament Administration
Oversee and manage free-to-enter tournaments to foster community growth and engagement.
Monitor and enforce compliance in paid-to-enter tournaments, ensuring fairness and rule adherence.
Investigate and process reports of cheating, match manipulation, or other tournament violations.
Approve or deny ban requests based on verified evidence, working with the Community Manager as needed.
Playtest new features, tournament formats, and platform activations for future releases.
Provide strategic recommendations for improvements to tournament structures and competitive formats.

Game Expertise & Competitive Integrity
Stay updated on game title patches, meta shifts, and competitive scene developments.
Develop and enforce balanced rulesets tailored to both free and paid tournament formats.
Monitor live gameplay in high-stakes paid tournaments, addressing disputes or suspicious activity.
Maintain records of player bans, rule violations, and appeals for transparency.
Community Engagement & Support
Engage users on Discord and social media, providing updates, answering questions, and fostering discussion.
Monitor player sentiment and identify areas for improving the user experience.
Host community-driven events to boost player engagement for assigned game titles.
Handle and triage support tickets related to game title issues in alignment with KPIs.
Escalate major platform issues to the product and tech teams through appropriate channels.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with the Tournament Manager to optimize tournament settings and formats.
Assist the marketing team in promoting tournaments and related esports campaigns.
Provide monthly reports on game title performance, competitive trends, and player feedback.
Participate in post-mortem reviews of marketing and tournament campaigns to improve future events.
Requirements:
Deep understanding of assigned esports titles, including their competitive formats, teams, and influencers.
High in-game rank and experience competing in or managing third-party esports tournaments.
Familiarity with tournament management platforms (e.g., Repeat.gg, Challonge, or Smash.gg).
Strong grasp of anti-cheat tools, evidence collection, and gameplay analytics.
Experience in community moderation and customer support within gaming/esports.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in English.
Experience using Google Suite, Atlassian Suite, Microsoft Suite, Discord, Slack, and Zendesk.
Knowledge of global regulations for paid-entry tournaments is a plus.
