Your mission:
We are seeking a well-versed and knowledgeable Archivist to join Activision Central Technology. As an Archivist, you will be tasked with maintaining and preserving our company’s extensive library of game-related artifacts. You will also work closely with game developers, designers, studio IT, Legal and first party teams to organize and catalog their work for future reference and use.
Key responsibilities:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all game-related materials. This includes concept art, design documents, technical documentation, game builds, development assets and other multimedia materials.
Develop and implement an archiving system that is efficient and easy to use, ensuring that all materials are properly cataloged, labeled, and stored. This includes the preservation of historical materials, ensuring that they are accurately stored and protected from damage or loss.
Lead archival scripting and integration support for development workflows and software such as GitHub, Perforce, Atlassian stack, Slack.
Work with vital teams to ensure all campaigns meet legal and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to provide marketing materials and content using archived assets.
Stay updated on the latest techniques and technologies in the field. Proactively recommend updates and improvements to our archival practices as needed.
Technical proficiencies - Working knowledge of the following:
SQL
Competency with at least one scripting language such as Python
Cloud storage platforms such as AWS and GCP
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, Archival Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of validated experience leading archival management for a large company, preferably at a video game company.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Extensive experience in version control software and digital asset management systems with proficiency in Perforce.
Expertise in archival and preservation standard protocols, including knowledge of metadata standards and archival software.
Experience in working in cross developer collaboration and setting standards in an open collaborative manner.
Must have strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and influence others as well as work independently and as part of a team.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $87,480.00 - $161,910.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
