Lead Gameplay AnimatorÂ
Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Lead Gameplay Animator to support the development of an exciting new IP.Â

You’ll help us by…Â
 Leading and supporting a team of animators, providing clear direction, feedback, and mentorshipÂ
Applying strong animation principles, gameplay fundamentals, and motion capture techniques to craft high-quality animations and systemsÂ
Demonstrating an understanding of game design mechanics, 3Cs (character, camera, controls), AI behaviour, narrative design, camera animation, and facial animationÂ
Partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve shared creative goalsÂ
Providing and incorporate feedback to deliver polished, high-quality gameplay experiencesÂ
Troubleshooting tool implementations and recommend workflow improvements to enhance team effectiveness and creativityÂ
You’re awesome because you have…Â
Credited experience on at least one shipped AAA game titleÂ
Expertise in game engines and building animation systemsÂ
Experience with motion capture workflows, including editing and cleanupÂ
Strong animation fundamentals in human and creature movement (timing, weight, balance)Â
Experience leading or mentoring team membersÂ
Ability to adapt to new tools and technologiesÂ
Proficiency in MayaÂ
Strong problem-solving skills across technical and cross-functional contextsÂ
Ability to mentor and support animators’ professional growthÂ
Ability to think critically and conceptually about character movement and performanceÂ
Bonus points for…Â
Understanding of character creation processes (modeling, texturing, rigging)Â
Experience leading animation efforts on a content-focused AAA teamÂ
Industry recognition for animation workÂ
Experience in adjacent disciplines such as quest design, environment art, or programmingÂ
