Your Mission

As a Junior AV Engineer, your mission is to ensure every meeting and event runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll support the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV systems across conference rooms, executive meetings, town halls, and hybrid events.

Working alongside the Senior AV Engineer, you’ll provide real-time support, maintain and test equipment, assist with room upgrades, and help keep our AV spaces organized and reliable. Your goal is simple: deliver seamless, stress-free audio and video experiences every day.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, and the home studio for this role is Santa Monica, CA.

What you bring to the table

The video game industry and therefore our business is fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners. Therefore, this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Assist with the setup, operation, testing, and breakdown of AV equipment in conference rooms, executive meetings, town halls, and studio spaces.
Support day-to-day AV operations alongside the Senior AV Engineer, including troubleshooting audio, video, and conferencing issues.
Provide real-time meeting support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, webinars, and hybrid events.
Perform routine maintenance and health checks on AV systems (displays, microphones, cameras, control panels, DSPs, cabling, etc.).
Assist with small-to-medium AV projects, upgrades, and room buildouts.
Document room configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures.
Partner with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to resolve AV-related issues.
Maintain inventory of AV equipment and ensure proper storage and organization.
Provide white-glove support for executive and high-visibility meetings when required.

Player Profile

Experience 

1-2 years of experience in audio-visual support, live event production, IT support, or related technical field.
Experience supporting conference room technology, live events, or classroom AV environments is a plus.
Basic understanding of AV signal flow (audio and video) preferred.

Knowledge & Skills 

Foundational knowledge of audio-visual equipment (microphones, speakers, mixers, displays, cameras, switchers, control systems).
Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other video conferencing platforms.
Basic troubleshooting skills in Windows and macOS environments.
Understanding of cabling types (HDMI, SDI, XLR, Cat6, etc.).
Ability to follow technical documentation and assist with system installations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $18.69 - $34.62 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
