Abrakam is the developer of Faeria (2017) and Roguebook (2021), both released on PC and consoles. We've most recently developed the narrative expansion "Astral Planes" for Stellaris (Paradox, 2023).

The studio is based in Belgium and consists of a team of 20+ members, enjoying the crafting of great quality titles out of a midsize team.

Job offer

Abrakam is looking for a highly talented and passionate Content Designer and Writer. The ideal candidate needs to have a proven experience in writing and designing for roleplaying, strategy, or card games, as well as a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis.

Role description :

• Write compelling stories and flavor texts.

• Create content in which narration and gameplay blend perfectly together.

• Design and specify game components.

• Collaborate with other game designers, artists, and developers to ensure a high level of quality implementation of game design specifications

• Influence smart decisions to assist us creating great experiences that resonate with our players through a great understanding of players and their expectations.

Requirements :

• Native English speaker/writer.

• Passion for content creation and game design.

• Deep and wide gaming literacy.

• At least 2 years of professional experience as a content designer, or writing in the English language.

• Ability to manage their own time and work effectively within deadlines.

Plusses :

• Experience with Unity and/or Git.

• Experience with scripting languages.

• Very familiar with strategy and card games.

• French speaker.

This role can be remote, but we are open to having you on site at our offices in Liège / Belgium.
