What We Need

2K Mobile Consumer Insights is looking for an experienced professional in consumer research to join our team as a Consumer Insights Manager.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for identifying actionable insights across 2K Mobile’s portfolio as well as the overall gaming marketplace.

You'll represent the “voice of the consumer”. You'll inform new play experiences and help improve the future of gaming at 2K Mobile. You'll guide business strategies using stories with consumer insight at the core.

As Consumer Insights Manager, you will join a team that is constantly in pursuit of understanding our consumers - their motivations for playing games and how their behaviours change alongside the gaming market. You'll partner closely with our product, studios, and marketing teams. We are looking for a CI manager who is not just a thought-leader, but also a relationship-builder who can collaborate and understand our partners' context to create research roadmaps and deliver insights that will have real impact on our games and communications.

You Will:

  • Develop and represent the “voice of consumer” through thoughtful data collection, insightful observations, and careful analysis

  • Identify and synthesize insights that inform key business decisions for the Product and Marketing organizations

  • Manage all aspects of primary research, including partnering with stakeholders to identify research objectives, identifying vendor partners, choosing appropriate methodologies, and analyzing results.

  • Translate research findings into clear and actionable recommendations through compelling analysis, storytelling, and presentations to different cross-functional teams and leadership.

  • Help manage research plans, budget, and ensure alignment with business team objectives.

  • Be the voice of the consumer and empower business partners to make better decisions.

  • Build strong relationships with Product and Marketing team leaders to stay on top of business needs.

What You’ll Do

Be part of a growing consumer insights team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and application of best-in-class market analysis methodologies as part of 2K Mobile’s consumer and market insights program that informs product strategy, brand direction, and product opportunities. Alongside delivering market analysis and insights proactively and in response to business questions, you will build tools visualizations to unlock market data to drive insight into the market. You will play a significant role in crafting the future of market insights within 2K Mobile.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of third-party data sets, experience working with large scale tracking data, and expertise in triangulating across multiple data sources to identify market opportunities or threats, and shaped consumer and market strategies.

We’re seeking a self-starter with strong performance and business analytics expertise, partner management skills, and strategic and analytical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills and the ability to be flexible and navigate dynamic environments will be a key to success.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of a range of market research data and advanced analytical methods to deliver insights on market trends, opportunities and risks

  • Recommend and establish data and analysis standard processes for triangulation and calibration of multiple market data sources

  • Define, produce, and present results including dashboards, presentations and recurring reports that find opportunities to shape product roadmaps, consumer experiences and that advise and inspire key stakeholders to action

  • Develop and enforce timelines to run and implement project components efficiently and within budget

  • Lead vendors and internal partners with communications that create rapport, trust, and satisfaction

  • Understand partner needs and help them reach their goals via research execution, as well as giving suggestions based on subject matter expertise outside of research data

  • Recognize opportunities for improvement and take action to capitalize on them. Actively lead problem solving efforts, providing suggestions and taking action on areas needing improvement. Adapt processes and analyses as needs change

  • Manage multiple projects, balancing both speed and difficulty
