What We Need

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Analyst to join us in the NBA 2K Growth Strategy team. This person will report into the AMER Director of Growth Strategy. You’ll be working alongside a variety of departments and collaborators to drive the commercial performance of one of the largest video game franchises in the world. The wider Growth Strategy team will include colleagues based in Singapore, USA, Ireland and London. This role requires structured problem solving, critical thinking, data driven decision-making and a commercial approach. To be successful you will harness internal and external data to improve our understanding of the business, and its drivers, on a regional and territory-level. Success in this role means combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to advise other teams and senior leadership on our business strategy, tactics, and outcomes. The ideal candidate works well with colleagues across functions, geographies, and skills to contribute to larger goals. They love to tell a thoughtful story from data and insight, with clear “so what’s” while seeking and incorporating feedback from collaborators. They enjoy working out how to structure ambiguous and difficult problems.

What You Will Do

  • Analyse internal telemetry and sales data to extract compelling and practical business insights, communicating your findings and recommendations with various partners.

  • Evaluate and find opportunities to grow revenues by analysing the business, customers and broader market

  • Partner with regional teams to align on goals, analyse performance, and develop optimised pricing and sales strategies for our digital and physical products.

  • Provide authoritative advice on the structuring, running and measurement of test-and-learn trials to improve revenue. These will be focused on retail led promotions and marketing activity to drive new & returning players.

  • Establish and distribute regular performance reports and dashboards.

  • Form relationships across geographies, functions, and levels to adopt new ways of working and leverage existing ones.

  • Provide ongoing performance reporting on NBA2K titles to the Growth team and partner teams.

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit

  • Experience in strategy / management consulting, banking or fast-paced, dynamic, consumer-focused technology companies.

  • Good analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to pull out the key stories in your analysis and present them in a digestible way.

  • Experience with making PowerPoint presentations and Excel models.

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles. (e.g. how a P&L works)

  • Passionate about trying to understand and tackle difficult business problems.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills (including presentations) as well as listening and interpretation skills.

  • Willingness to learn SQL, Tableau, Snowflake etc.

Good To Have

  • Exposure to a wide range of data and analytical concepts and methodologies, including:

    • Market sizing

    • Competitive analysis

    • Primary research

    • Forecasting (units & revenue)

  • Comfortable in using SQL to extract data from large databases.

  • Familiarity with visualisation tools & libraries, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI etc.

  • Experience or passion for the video games industry is a plus.
