To manage and supervise the First Party Certification Team: managing certification test process, planning of resources internally, ensuring the highest quality of product to deadlines, coordinating all related staff & departmental issues. Working in the Las Vegas office and reporting to the Senior Director of Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of First Party Certification Team
Supervision of Certification Leads, Senior Certification Specialists, and Certification Specialists
Feedback & liaison with Functional & Compliance QA, Producers, Developers, & other External Departments
Liaison with First Parties to ensure guidelines & standards compliance
Expert with Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony technical requirements
Create process’ and manage communication between international teams
Produce and manage the First Party Certification training program
Create process to increase effectiveness and turnaround time on certification regressions
Build process to increase Cert responsiveness and proactiveness
Create OKR’s that support all 2K business goals
Produce quarterly business reports tracking the progress and potential risk to OKR’s
Manage bug reports, bug database, & QA reports
Pinpoint communication failures with partners and collaborate with QA Functionality to create better process’
Implement SLA’s to support department goals
Coordinate with Functionality Testing on resource and headcount planning
Track the overall health of Certification Team, coming up with proactive ways to achieve and maintain high job satisfaction within the team
Manage the department through day-to-day business operations
Quarterly performance reviews of direct reports with focus on development opportunities
Raising disciplinary issues as appropriate
Actively participate in the recruiting and interview process
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Knowledge of First Party Submissions and Certification testing requirements
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, internally & externally
Management skills to include successfully handling ambiguity, flexibility & understanding of the development process, and maintain good relations with producers & developers
Knowledge of bug database systems, QA process, test plan creation, and bug writing process
Hardworking, reliable, punctual, flexibility to work unsociable hours depending on deadlines
Intermediate level using MS Office Suite and G Suite, with ability to process daily data utilizing a database
Technically proficient with PCs, gaming consoles, and related hardware
Ability to liaise with other departments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of worked involved with First Party Technical Certification (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo)
Strong product management skills needed to understand business strategy and technology, ability to influence, collaborate and bring the team to success
Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and the flexibility to support an environment where details can change quickly
Strong leadership skills to include team development
Well-developed interpersonal, communication skills, and management skills
Reliable with the ability to work in a team environment and independently
Attention to detail and positive personality to foster excellent working relationships
Ability to lift approximately 10-20 lbs. assisted or unassisted
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; bend at waist; and use standard office equipment
