In the position of Community Manager, you will manage communication with developers in their native social habitats; such as Reddit and UDN in order to elevate the company’s profile and reputation. You will engage with members of our developer community to help solve problems, answer integration questions, receive feedback, and coordinate resources to help partners get the most out of Xsolla’s business engine of products and solutions. Writing, technology and customer service comes easily to you, and you have a knack for game tech, social media, and forums. When working on a team, you listen well, collaborate seamlessly, and you are not afraid to share innovative new ideas. As an individual, you are accountable, trustworthy, and motivated.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor forums and engage accordingly in the company’s best interests
  • Understand developer needs and respond with the best tactics and resources
  • Act as the frontline for customer support and service on social channels when needed
  • Work within the PR department to keep messaging on brand
  • Gather and analyze data from social media campaigns and forums
  • Manage and dashboard all campaigns utilizing HootSuite
  • Help to manage web content -- disseminate blog articles, e-books, videos, etc. -- and conduct content analysis and optimization with the digital marketing team
  • Work closely with in-house production and marketing teams to communicate partner sentiments, gathered from online forums and communities
  • Work closely with in-house creative team on asset creation such as images and videos
  • Identify trending information and being able to react quickly

Knowledge/Expertise/Education:

Required

  • 3+ years of professional video game industry experience
  • 5+ years of social media or community management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Journalism, English, Communications, or related field
  • Expert with grammar and top-notch writing skills
  • Experience integrating B2B software solutions
  • General marketing and branding experience
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand tech products and adapt to new changes
  • Tech stack knowledge, Microsoft suite, Google Suite, HootSuite, Google analytics, Basecamp, Jira and Confluence
  • Understand sales funnel optimization and hand-raiser through conversions
  • Strong understanding of algorithm changes on social media platforms and optimizing the campaign to each change
  • Workflows such as creating weekly suggested social media posts, scheduling campaigns and reporting performance
  • Strong understanding of reputation management

Preferred

  • Experience with creating marketing content
  • HTML, Photoshop, illustrator and a basic understanding of tag management
  • Growth hacking on social media, and increase organic followers, engagement and subscribers
