Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc., and the world's largest publisher of adventure games, including Magic: The Gathering® Trading Card Game and Dungeons & Dragons® Roleplaying Games has an exciting opportunity for a Channel Development Manager, LATAM to join our WotC Latin America team in our São Paulo, Brazil office.

WHAT IS THIS ROLE ALL ABOUT?

WotC are looking for talented people to join us at an exciting time for our business, as we enter into a period of accelerated growth and development into new channels.

The Channel Sales Manager (Latin America) will be responsible for the management of WotC’s Mass Retail & E-commerce Partners in the main markets (i.e. Brazil, Mexico and Chile) and will report to the Sr Commercial Manager (Latin America).

  • Perform an active role in recruiting strategic Retail Partners, working through our authorized Distributors to grow the LATAM business and building retail relationships from the ground up
  • Develop the existing Mass Retail and E-commerce business expansion and sales strategy to achieve Channel and Company goals.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our business in the LATAM market, focusing on those opportunities which drive long term business and category growth
  • Build and execute the recommended sales strategy, bringing to life Wizards brands in Latin America’s Mass Retail and E-commerce.
  • Execute and monitor channel marketing campaigns to drive omni-channel visibility at retail to achieve sell thru goals
  • Monitor stock availability and recommend initiatives to address any issue to ensure maximum availability of Wizards offering in channel.
  • Recommend product portfolio based on LATAM Mass Market specific requirements in accordance with Wizards brands strategy and objectives.

Day to Day Responsibilities For This Wizard

  • Create, implement and monitor full year business plan with Distributors and to achieve assigned sales revenue/profit/unit objectives to reach overall budget as determined by the Sr Commercial Manager Latam (Sr COMM).
  • Working with the LATAM Marketing Manager, negotiate, implement and manage product visibility in both Mass and e-Comm channels through merchandising and trade campaigns.
  • Identify trends and market dynamics to influence and evolve strategy.
  • Recruit and retain new Retail Partners, developing a full business plan to service the WoTC release calendar, ensuring continued sales growth.
  • Generate and grow business with Mass and E-comm accounts, working together with Distributors while ensuring objectives and spend targets are agreed with every account.
  • Develop and manage mulit-level and collaborative business relationships with buyers (accounts), Distributors and their sales team and WotC internal staff.
  • Provide sales, product training and demonstrations to Partners.
  • With the Sr COMM, build internal forecast for the LATAM Mass Market and E-comm and recommend stock production on every Wizards new release.
  • Orchestrate business development through WotC participation in sales meetings, sales training, conferences, road-shows to achieve mindshare within the Distributors’ sales force and customers.
  • Collaborate with the colleagues from other departments - marketing, logistics, finance and shared service on execution of channel/partner strategies.
  • Be responsible for the updated assets/product information to be shared with Partners.
  • Partake in yearly discussion of aligned and optimised wholesale and retailer trade terms.

AM I QUALIFIED? (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Experience Creating and Casting these Spells:

  • Solid account management experience with Mass Retail and/or E-commerce partners in the region.
  • Experience in Sales Management
  • Experience in the Entertainment and/or Games industry is a plus.

Knowledge, Abilities and Characteristics of the Ideal Wizard:

  • Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and English Required, additional fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Strong commercial skills with ability to make decisions to benefit WotC and the customer
  • Drive for results with player focus
  • Strong negotiation & influencing skills

Education and Training:

  • Degree level education with business, commerce, marketing or sales related fields.
