What is this role all about?

This is a full time position that combines hands-on art management and outsource art direction. We are searching for the type of artist and manager who can give detailed and constructive visual input, as well as implement feedback to direct external artists and guide them to successful results.

A day in the life as an Outsource Art Supervisor

  • Lead communications and provide feedback to outsource vendors
  • Coordinate with the production team and art lead to schedule and track incoming assets
  • Work closely with the art director on encouraging and raising the art quality bar coming from outsource
  • Collaborating with production team, and tech artists to determine outsourcing needs, pipelines, budgets and costs for art assets
  • Be responsible for the quality control over all incoming art assets, providing detailed feedback and approvals to the vendor in order to deliver quality assets to the development team
  • Handle the relationships between outsource vendors and internal teams

Problem solving

  • Taking initiative investigating and problem-solving pipeline, communication and production issues
  • Translate feedback between outsource vendors and the team clearly and efficiently
  • Continually help build, test, and improve workflow and outsource management procedures

What you’ll bring

Experience Creating and Casting these Spells:

  • Demonstrate ownership over commissioned work
  • Strong social skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passion for Card games, and/or Video games in general
  • Management and production skills
  • Artistic background in either/multiple art disciplines (concept, VFX, modelling, animation)

Education and Training:

  • Please provide us with a portfolio
  • A curious, highly engaged, and expert artist who is immersed in fantasy art and video games
  • 2-5 years of experience with content creation and game engine tools
  • Digital game art generation experience required; AAA game experience a plus.
