We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join Wildlife's Engineering Operations team in São Paulo (Brazil). The Engineering Operations team works closely with the CTO to articulate and communicate the technical vision for the company and leads high-value technical initiatives. The Technical Program Manager will create and drive the roadmap of broad technical programs, facilitating communication between different Engineering teams, and ensuring we excel at execution.

The main responsibilities of Technical Program Managers are to create and drive the roadmap of broad technical programs (composed of several projects), and to see it delivered end-to-end. They coordinate the program's goals and metrics with tech leads and engineering managers responsible for the delivery of the program. They work very closely with deeply technical people, and at the same time manage the roadmap and communicate with the non-technical stakeholders. They do not focus on a single area, but ensure that a technical program moves forward. They ensure all dependencies and technical integrations will come together to create a great experience for customers.

Technical Program Managers need a mix of technical background, project management, and communication skills. To succeed, they need to be able to break down very complex projects, abstract the technical complexity and present this information to non-technical stakeholders that need to be informed about progress, risks, and trade-offs in order to make better decisions.

By working in this position, you will learn about complex technologies being developed to assist development, publishing and distribution of games. You will understand how to effectively organize and manage big high performance technology teams, from the operational aspects to the processes that drive innovation. As a result, you will create skills that allow you to manage how companies can tackle complex problems with technology, manage software and product development, and use a data driven approach to solve problems.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with the Director of Engineering Operations (direct report of the CTO);
  • Help translate our vision into a roadmap that engineering can execute towards;
  • Work closely with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to ensure our broad technical program is moving forward, helping resolve dependencies and remove blockers;
  • Create and drive the routines that will make us excel at execution (customer discovery, planning, target setting, stakeholders meetings, retrospectives, etc);
  • Communicate about the program to non-technical stakeholders, abstracting the technical complexities of execution;
  • Communicate and coordinate with other areas within Wildlife (Studio, Publishing Services, Platform);
  • Conduct analysis and external benchmarks to inform critical decisions for the program;
  • Prepare documents for leadership forums.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related experience;
  • At least 3 years of professional experience;
  • Basic knowledge of technology and how engineering organizations work;
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills;
  • Great interpersonal skills, ability to interact with deeply technical colleagues and to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Advanced English writing and speaking skills: you should expect to write 100% in english and conduct 50% of meetings in english (we provide help if needed);
  • Ability to conduct projects independently and to interact with senior stakeholders;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.

What you won't need

  • Experience in the gaming industry;
  • Experience working as a developer;
  • Strong programming skills;
  • Being a mobile gamer.

Bonus points if

  • Strong knowledge of technology and experience working in engineering organizations;
  • Experience in Product, Project, or Program Management, or in management consulting;
  • Experience working as a software Engineer;
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to extract valuable insights from data;
  • You love the gaming industry.

More about you

  • You are curious to learn about technical subjects and capable of working together with deeply technical colleagues;
  • You're hands-on, in the right ways: willing and able to do what's needed, no matter the task in order to do what's better for Wildlife;
  • You are ambitious and have an extreme sense of ownership;
  • You want to operate in a high-growth environment with highly competent peers;
  • You are an excellent teammate and raise the bar of those around you.
