Job Overview

Wargaming Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer to join our studio. We are looking for engineers who have an ability to work in a fast moving environment and adapt to working with different technology stacks as required.

Reports To

The Junior/Mid Software Engineer (Online Game Development, Unreal) will report to the Lead Software Engineer

What will you do?

We are working on Wargaming's next AAA free-to-play title aimed at a western audience, and for the next generation of our massively-multiplayer online games using the Unreal Engine. You will bring key experience and skills to help us create these games and bring them to millions of players. You will join an established cross-functional development team that's agile, open, fun, and driven to build high quality tech.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent knowledge of C/C++
  • Experience with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity)
  • Curiosity in the world around you and a desire to dig into an engine to know how it works
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for making games!

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with networked gameplay
  • Experience in the game development industry
  • Experience working with existing large code bases
  • Experience using Agile methodologies
