This role contributes to World of Tanks APAC’s success by ensuring critical communications and articles are translated in a native manner for consumption within the Japanese market.

Japan Product Manager

What will you do?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Translates a variety of documents including literary, research, technical, educational, and commercial materials
• Translates online, video, and television media by providing subtitles
• Ensure the highest translation quality by performing linguistic QA (accuracy, grammar, punctuation, style, etc.)
• Assesses cultural appropriateness
• Ensures that market-specific information about the product or company, such as website links or contact information, is correct for the market
• Ensures that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations
• Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately
• Work closely with wider content and QA team to ensure the consistency in terminology

What are we looking for?

• At least 1 years of professional experience in content translation or localization

What additional skills help you stand out?

• Native in the Japanese language with the strong understanding of grammar
• Fluent in English written and verbal skills
• Interest in languages and proofreading
• Attention to detail
• Translation or localization experience in gaming or IT industry is a plus
• Passion for games is an advantage
