Wargaming is expanding the art department of the mobile project World of Tanks Blitz and invites an experienced 3D Environment Artist.

Our Environment team creates objects in the game world and assembles them into complete locations, effectively interacting with level designers and other artists.

We will be glad to have a new colleague who, like us, is passionate about his work, loves to play games, wants to make a real contribution to the development and improvement of World of Tanks Blitz!

What are you going to do:

  • create models and textures of objects in the game environment for a technically updated PBS rendering;
  • fill locations with content: arrange and customize objects, trees, etc.;
  • planting grass, bushes and trees;
  • adjust lighting;
  • create and customize materials and decals;
  • optimize performance and fix bugs;
  • actively participate in team discussions: to assess the quality of the content produced, to find ways to improve the pipeline. Thus, influence the development of the project;
  • constantly learn, track trends in the game and CG industries - share new knowledge with colleagues.

What is important to us:

  • at least 1 year of experience in the gaming industry as a 3D Artist;
  • knowledge of basic 3D modeling and texturing packages: 3ds Max / Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop;
  • skills in working with PBR materials, baking Normal Map;
  • 3D Art portfolio up to date;
  • versatile gaming experience, interest in computer games.
  • What will be useful:
  • experience with Unreal Engine or Unity;
  • possession of ZBrush, Substance Designer, Quixel / 3D Coat;
  • experience in content production specifically for mobile projects;
  • understanding the basics of composition;
  • art education, freehand drawing skills;
  • knowledge of English at the Pre-intermediate level and above (plus a desire to improve their knowledge by working in a multicultural team).
