Job Description:

Van Hawke Sports, a sports marketing agency which provides specialised services in sports sponsorships for brands, is seeking an Esports Partnerships executive to assist with the procurement and matching of brands with esports rights holders. This candidate will have experience amongst the esports sector with a background in esports rights holder management. The ideal candidate will have great writing skills, a passion and knowledge for esports and are always in the know and ahead of industry trends. They must also have excellent negotiation skills and be confident when working in a fast-paced environment and under strict KPIs and deadlines.

The company’s environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a fast-growing brand roster that boasts innovative partnerships across the sports industry.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of sports partnerships experience, the ability to multitask, an enthusiastic personality and a passion for the esports sector.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be using your network and online resources to conduct the sourcing, managing and execution of strategic brand sponsorships
  • You will lead the charge in researching contacts, reaching out and influencing individuals, institutions and organisations and encourage them to consider sports marketing opportunities
  • You will work directly with the Partnerships team and Chief Commercial Officer to target specific brands
  • You will support the writing and pitching of esports sponsorship proposals
  • You will actively manage and monitor progress of deals in the CRM (Hubspot)
  • You will be executing Business development activities, identifying key decision makers and reaching out to potential partners. By using your network and know-how, you will take your ideas and proposals to the people that matter, in some of the world’s newest and most exciting organisations

Skills needed:

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable organisational skills
  • A good work ethic and sense of professionalism
  • Knowledge of the esports industry
  • A strong knowledge of the sponsorship process, with working relationships with many rights holders preferred
  • A solid handle on how to use online platforms including social media to generate leads
  • A great understanding for how and which brands use sports sponsorships
  • The ability to juggle numerous projects simultaneously and effortlessly
  • The flexibility to work as required
  • Be willing to work hard to find partnerships for your rights holders and brands

This is a full-time role amongst a dynamic company, which provides a flexible and supportive environment to allow the role to develop further. This role will initially require remote work, with plans to move back to the London office in 2021.
