One of the biggest problems facing companies that work in 3D is that creating 3D content takes too long and costs too much. Meanwhile, consumer demand and expectations for quality and realism continue to increase, be it for games, movies, product visualization, and more.

We are seeking a Technical Producer to support the creation of a world-class, scan-based asset library of raw 3D content, from materials to models, that will equip Unity’s creators to build faster and better. You will be part of the newly created Content Creation team, working alongside the Content Creation Lead and Product Manager to build and manage a team of scan technicians and artists while continuously optimizing for quality and efficiency, from tool selection, automation, data management, and more.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure the team stays on track and achieves production objectives.
  • Design and continuously improve the production pipeline to optimize for production quality and efficiency
  • Own activities related to scanning trips (location scouting, securing permits, risk assessments, booking transportation and accommodations, creating itinerary, managing daily production schedule).
  • Remain up to date with the latest trends and emerging technologies related to 3D art pipelines, tools, and data management.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (i.e. Producer or Product Management with a technical focus) supporting at least one major project in AAA gaming, VFX, or another CG-related field.
  • Excellent understanding of 3D art workflows, including photogrammetry, photometry, public asset libraries/marketplaces, software suites/realtime development tools, and industry trends.
  • Excellent project and data management and ability to coordinate complex technical problem solving.
  • Great interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with larger inhouse and virtual teams.

You might also have

  • Experience with Unity
  • Experience with photogrammetry pipelines, tools and data acquisition
  • Experience writing custom scripts for tooling
