The opportunity

The Unity Hub team is the curtain-raiser for the Unity editor, services, and resources, where we are helping millions of game and real-time 3d developers make outstanding and innovative things. Built-in Electron, using Typescript and React, the Hub helps users find, download, and manage Unity installations and projects, as well as connecting and extending a wide range of Unity services to the user.

At Unity, our QA team members are the test and quality professionals. We rely on communication and collaboration to help the whole team to deliver quality software. We are responsible for driving the Quality Culture and solving the hard problems in quality for the entire team.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Creator Experience group, with particular focus on the Unity Hub. You will play a key role in a newly formed Quality team in Vilnius. Working closely with local and distributed team members, as well as with Unity teams globally, you will help bring the Unity ecosystem closer to the editor and provide an extraordinary initial experience to the users.

What you will be doing

  • Be responsible for all aspects of the quality process including test creation, test metrics establishment, reviewing test effort estimates, release management, and reporting
  • Develop and maintain test plans, identify gaps in testing, and enable additional test coverage
  • Work with Product Management and Developers to identify and validate requirements, mitigate risks
  • Interact with our internal and external customers and collect feedback
  • Mentor your team on Quality practices

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working as Test Engineer
  • Deep knowledge of Quality methodologies
  • Users-first and empathetic approach to supporting our customers
  • Experience in working remotely, communicating with distributed team members
  • Experience in coaching and guiding your peers

You might also have

  • Familiarity with task and bug management software like JIRA
  • Experience in writing automation tests
