Unity is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be part of our international Release Engineering Quality Assurance team The team improves software quality processes and helps maintain all released versions of Unity, working across every area of the engine. We are looking for this person to be based within Vilnius, Lithuania. You are someone with a keen interest in software development practices, maintaining live systems, and working with other teams to improve the quality of Unity throughout the engine. We as a team ensure that we make key contributions by ensuring the quality of all released versions of Unity.

We want someone who has a genuine passion for quality. The team is passionate about the quality of the Unity Editor and Player before it is released to the public.

You will be responsible for evaluating and advising on the quality of the Unity engine before it is publicly released to our users. Your quality assurance experience combined with technical background and software development knowledge will enable you to have significant impact in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans; execute the test plan, delivering quality for Unity releases.
  • Work together on building a quality first engineering culture that helps ship features rapidly and with high confidence.
  • Raise the quality bar for changes and features ever higher and contribute to the quality status reports
  • Collaborate to seek exciting engineering challenges and contribute creative ideas to improve quality..
  • Collate quality metrics to establish test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the product.

Requirements

  • You should be comfortable working within an international team and need to be proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • A talent for presenting sophisticated information in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Hands on usage of Unity or other game/3D engines.
  • Experience using QA and development tools such as Jira, TestRail and Git and proficiency working with remote Quality and Development teams.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile; experience in coding (C# preferred).

Bonus

  • Background in Games development, automotive or film production.
  • An understanding of data analytics (Google Data studio, SQL, etc) .
