As a Development Manager and a member of the leadership team, you will lead a talented group of engineers, partner closely with cross-functional teams like Program management, align the technical direction of the long term vision, and deliver solutions that enable our internal engineering team to spend every second of development time on the things that matter.
Responsibilities
- Develop & drive the team's strategy and roadmap – crafting success metrics in close collaboration with your peers across R&D
- Establish & continuously improve on lean engineering processes, using collaboration, focus, and rapid iteration to build the right solutions for the right problems
- Mentor, grow and empower your teams to realize their professional success
- Responsible for supporting your engineering teams to deliver, while adapting to all the changes that happen while progress is made
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and key people, communicating effectively to build trust while driving recruiting and partnerships with our internal recruiting team, as well as investing in growing your team directly
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of the engineering work is always exceptional, through setting effective processes and high expectations of the team
- Identify new technologies or methods/skillsets to bring into the team so they can keep moving forward on new challenges
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability at leading and guiding technical teams
- Experience shipping multiple products across various platforms
- Enthusiasm for experiment and metrics-driven iterative product development
- Adept at building organizational alignment
